GGPoker has added Chilean soccer star Arturo Vidal to its ambassador team as the poker room continues expanding its presence in Latin America.
The partnership was revealed through GGPoker’s Spanish-language social media and was initially covered mainly by Spanish-language poker outlets.
Vidal becomes GGPoker’s first Chilean ambassador. The former Juventus, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Inter Milan midfielder is one of the best-known athletes in Chile and has a previous connection to poker.
In 2019, Vidal played the €25,000 Single-Day High Roller at EPT Barcelona and finished fifth for €134,460.
The signing gives GGPoker another recognizable name for its growing Latin American audience and brings together two of the region’s biggest sporting interests — soccer and poker.
